DO NOT STAY HERE

In general: We got here and there was no one there to greet us. The taxi driver had trouble finding it. We had to go in to a local pharmacy to ask for help and then she made several calls to try to locate the owner. Eventually the owners sister came to get us downstairs. There was not a single thing posted in English to help with anything whatsoever. When we got to our room she asked for the cash first which we gave her. When she left after seemingly annoyed that I didnt give her a tip, we were so shocked by what we saw. The bedroom itself was neat and tidy and the view to the beach was lovely... but that was it!! The balcony with its broken chairs and table were awful and there was about 3 inches of water on it. My partner is in construction and told me that this water was not "clean' water. The bathroom was absolutely awful. the dirt in the shower and the the human hairs in the shower and on the soap were disgusting. This was the last night of our vacation and we were beyond disappointed. There was no way we could stay here, it was awful. We left immediately to try to find somewhere else. When i returned home the owner contacted me to offer me a refund as he said that his sister who lived in the next apartment had told him we didn't stay there. I was pleasantly surprised by his offer. Three months later after many many emails back and forth and the owner even achieving my bank details to wire me the money and nothing. I never received the money. Any last chance the owner had to redeem himself was gone. please do not be fooled by these pictures. It DOES NOT look like this unless you request the penthouse suite itself. I have attached some pics of the back area of this building so you can get some idea of what you are dealing with. I have no pics of the inside as we really couldn't be out of there fast enough. Service: Service from the owner was absolutely awful.
